Guided Whitetail and Black Bear Hunts
Although Montana and several western states are primarily known for their mule deer hunting opportunities, not many hunters know of the quality whitetails of Northwestern Montana.
The agricultural valleys just south of Glacier National Park and the Alberta border are surrounded by steep mountains and laced with blue ribbon trout streams. The area is pock-marked with glacial potholes, small streams and riparian habitat that harbors lots of big whitetail bucks.
This is truly wilderness trophy whitetail deer hunting at it's best. No high fence operations with box blinds over cultivated food plots. We'll leave those opportunities for the minimally active and the technologically inclined. We're hunting wilderness whitetails using established techniques during the early September bow season and the rut phases of November.
What could be more satisfying or rewarding that harvesting a respected trophy while rattling and calling over pre-scouted scrape and rub lines. Or still hunting after a storm has passed and left inches of new fallen snow.
Bigfork Outdoors specializes in six day, archery or rifle, fair chase hunts in the beauty of Northwest Montana. I have a comfortable tent camp on a private leased ranch, Hidden Meadows Ranch, which is located west of Glacier National Park. It is bordered by leased Department of Natural Resources land. The tent is fully equipped with sleeping cots, pads and a carpeted floor. Hunting is done from tree stands or Double Bull Blinds over pre-scouted scape and rub lines.
Over the years I have guided many different hunts with many different types of hunters. I have grown tired of the production type of hunts that so many are familiar with. I have recently chosen to revert back to my roots in hunting and pursue my passion of whitetail and bear hunting only. I have some definite feelings about hunting and strongly urge you to read my philosophy so there is no misunderstanding about my expectations as well as yours.
